About our prescribers
Independent prescribing pharmacist
Peter McCarthy MPharm
Peter holds an independent prescribing qualification and is accredited by MASTA for travel health. He has led private clinics at Muirend since 2009, with particular expertise in travel medicine, vaccinations and clinical assessment.
Superintendent pharmacist
James McKeever MRPharms
James is the superintendent pharmacist and owner of Muirend Pharmacy. He oversees clinical governance and patient safety across all services, and is available for consultations and clinical assessments across a range of private services.
