Why patients sign up
Reason 01
No more pharmacy hours
Collect at 7am before work, or 11pm after a shift. The machine is open when life is. You're not bending your day around opening hours.
Reason 02
No queue, no chat unless you want one
Tap your code, take your medicine, go. If you have questions, walk in — but you don't have to. Some weeks you just want it done.
Reason 03
SMS when ready
A text when your prescription is in the machine. No "is it ready yet" phone calls. You go when it suits you, not when we tell you.
How it works
Step 01
Sign up once
Five-minute form. Tells us who you are, your GP, and how to send you SMS notifications when prescriptions are ready.
Step 02
We handle the GP
When your prescription is due, we request it from your GP. No phone calls, no app, no logging in. We do this for you.
Step 03
SMS when ready
A text with a unique collection code. Usually within 3–5 working days of your GP receiving the request.
Step 04
Collect, anytime
Walk to 521–523 Clarkston Road, tap your code on the Pharmaself24 screen, take your medicine. Day or night.
Sign up for Pharmaself24
Five minutes. We'll do the rest.
Important to know
There's no supply guarantee
We request your prescription from your GP. Sometimes there are delays — at the surgery, with the supplier, or because the prescriber wants a review. We'll keep you updated, but we can't guarantee any specific timeline.
Pharmaself24 isn't for first-time medicines
If a medicine is new to you, or your dose has changed, we may ask you to collect at the counter so the pharmacist can talk you through it. That's a safety thing, not a hassle thing.
Some medicines can't go in the machine
Controlled drugs, very large items, and a few others go to the counter. We'll tell you in your SMS if collection is at the counter rather than the machine.
You can switch to delivery any time
Free delivery is also available across G43, G44 and G77. Use Pharmaself24 mostly, delivery occasionally — whatever works that week.
Not for emergencies
Pharmaself24 is for routine repeat prescriptions. If you need urgent medication outside our opening hours, contact NHS 24 on 111 or, in an emergency, call 999.
Common questions
Is Pharmaself24 secure? +
Yes. Each prescription is stored behind a unique collection code sent only to you. The machine is locked, monitored, and located inside the pharmacy entrance.
Do I have to use it every time? +
No. You can switch between Pharmaself24, the counter, and free home delivery whenever it suits — just tell us when you collect, or call.
What if I forget my code? +
It's resent if you reply to the original SMS, or call us. We can also confirm collection at the counter during opening hours.
How do you contact my GP? +
Securely, by the route your GP surgery uses. Most surgeries in our area accept electronic requests, which means quicker turnaround.
Can I cancel? +
Any time. Speak to the pharmacy team or email us. There's no contract and no charge.
